The Mobile Cinema
The Mobile Cinema (in Norwegian: "Bygdekinoen") is screening films at approximately 180 places all over the country. It is visited yearly by about 130,000 people. The Mobile Cinema is, as alle other cinemas in Norway, digital. It is also one of the largest cinemas in Norway.
The Mobile Cinema brings its own equipment, enabling it to show films on all kinds of premises, in co-operation with local organisers such as the cultural office, the community centre and other organisations.
Its main audience is children and adolescents, and it has always films on offer particularly suited for these groups.
The Mobile Cinema visits its members every two or four weeks, each time with a new feature film.
The Mobile Cinema can also offer film screenings as part of special local events, again on all kinds of premises.
